Running through Wiston

July15/ 2016

Hi Everyone,

Wiston House have asked us to pass this message on to all runners, we rely on their co-operation and goodwill for the Stinger and Roundhill Romp each year !

“I hear the Round Hill Romp went well this year, and we are always happy to help with access through our private grounds for this event, as well as the annual Steyning Stinger.

However, we have noticed an increasing number of runners using our gates (through the side railings) to gain access from Mouse Lane, onto the private property, round the back of the gardens and back onto the public footpaths that lead up to Chanctonbury Ring – rather than using the public footpath at Round Robin cottages. Whilst some of these runners may not have any association with your Club and just be local residents, it is a route that your club members know (because of the 2 annual events).

I would therefore appreciate it if you could remind members that Wiston House is private property and there is no access through our grounds, except on previously agreed dates/events and would ask that they do not use the grounds as a diversionary route.”

If you look at this route on Strava it will show you the way to run the route avoiding Wiston House
