Arundel Lido Triathlon 2017

Bright and early on Sunday 21st May the annual Raw Energy Pursuits Arundel Lido Triathlon takes place. Steyning had a few athletes in both the Sprint and Standard distances. For some of us it was our first Tri of the season. It starts at the Lido with the pool based swim, then out on to the roads and up Whiteways (London Road) which soon warms the legs up, then a left onto the A29 towards Fontwell with the final part along the A27 back to Arundel. The sprint distance has one lap and standard has two.  The run takes athletes along the tree lined avenue by the castle and River Arun before heading towards the Arundel Estate. The standard distance then climbs to the trig point on the estate affording spectacular views at the top, before a rolling section into the village of South Stoke, then you retrace you steps back to the centre of Arundel town. Well done to two of our athletes who won their age group Jon Ford-Dunn in the sprint distance and Graham Parsons in the standard.
