A very big thank you to everyone that turned up and supported the club Annual Awards last night and also a thank you to the people that helped setup, decorate and clear up this morning 🙂

For those of you that missed it the Awards are as follows :

Race Walkers

Most Inspiring Performance – Anne Jones
Most Inspiring Performer – Ian Richards


Most Inspiring Performance – Ruth Saunders
Most Inspiring Performer – Paul Maggs


Most Inspiring Circuiteer – Trevor Jones
Special Award  – Jo Hesketh


Most Inspiring Performance – Neil Sampson – Completing the Lake District 50 mile run with 4000m of ascent
Most Inspiring Performer – Louise Bond – Always happy and smiling and doesn’t let anything get in her way, very good results in the fun run league races and very encouraging to everyone else that runs.
Runners Handicap – John Killick – Narrowly beat Adrian Scott in the WSFRL handicap after a strong performance in the second half of the year.  Both finished with the same points total but John won with the next best result.
Most Improved Runner – Jim Newton – Completing both a first marathon and a 31 mile Ultra event


Most Inspiring Performance – Juliet Starbuck
Most Inspiring Performer – Elaine Scott
Sprint Triathlon Male – Lee Oxley
Sprint Triathlon Female – Moyra Amess

Club Awards

Best Overall Performance – Paul Maggs
Coach of the Year  – Lawrence Naested
Club Member of the Year – Steve Jones

Piranha Award (The One to Avoid) – Simon Marsden

Little Miss Fun  – Ann Naested – Taken on the challenge of the Brutal Runs and always comes out smiling

Mr Bump – Adrian Scott – For the number of injuries during the year but he still bounces back

Mr Forgetful – Ben Aiton – Friday Nights, head torch, route need we say more !!

Little Miss Sunshine – Louise Bond – Always smiling, happy and enthusiastic and really excited about running the London Marathon next year !

Little Miss Stubborn – Carol Killick – Carrying on and getting over injuries such as a broken elbow at Fittleworth, not letting anything get in her way on the road to recovery !
