Steyning AC were out in force on Sunday for this new local event from Raw Energy Pursuits, with Sarah Cotton picking up a trophy !
Swimming at high tide from the Adur Outdoor Activity Centre in Shoreham upstream to the old toll footbridge and then back again to complete this new 2.5k open water event. The winner (Dave Warren, a world masters record holder) swam a time of 28:10 putting in stiff competition with his team mates from the Otter Swimming Club.
Steyning had nine swimmers competing in the warm sunshine with all doing well to navigate their local river. Sarah Cotton was just pipped to second place in her age group, picking up a fine glass trophy.
