Four SAC members took part in a new event put on by Tri It Sports last weekend. A 400m swim, 26km bike, 5km run.
Gary posted a great performance once again coming in 4th against high quality competitors in the top places. Great to see Chris Lee back racing. And well done to new boy Mark Ansell in 23rd. Mark T posted his fastest ever swim time and managed to sneak into the top 10. With an estimated 15 second run from the pool to the swim end timing mat, MT puts his swim speed down to a lack of training and a nice new Tri suit. It seems that you can now buy speed in the pool as well as on the bike, good stuff. Now just need to find some piece of expensive kit that will speed him up on the run. Any suggestions?
The events was well run and in great surroundings at the Hogwarts’esque school grounds, one to book in for next year.
