Race-walking

The race-walkers compete in many events both locally, regionally, nationally and occasionally even internationally. Steyning has produced many very talented walkers over the years, and currently holds many national trophies. Steyning Athletic Club annually hosts the renowned Schools Walks for local primary schools and the Easter Monday walking races which are open to competitors from all the surrounding villages. Younger athletes are particularly welcome.
