Routes:

The links below show both routes in plan form using a traditional map and in vertical profile showing the altitudes reached at given distances along the route: Due to changes being made with the website, the usual virtual walk-through of the route which enables prospective participants to learn the route in advance has been removed. It was intended to use Google earth as the primary source of information, but this has created a number of problems which have yet to be overcome.

  • The Full Marathon course (26.2 miles) includes four ‘stings’ up to the top of the downs.
  • The Half Marathon course (13.2 miles) includes two ‘stings’.

It is hoped that the walk through feature will be introduced with Google Earth shortly. In the meantime the simple route map which can be printed out can be used in conjunction with the Google map in ‘satellite mode’ to follow the general terrain.
